ECAB Game Changers Scholarship

The ECAB Game Changers Scholarship is a one-time award of EC $25,000 granted to one outstanding student-athlete pursuing studies overseas.

This initiative supports talented athletes who have earned partial athletic scholarships but require additional financial assistance to cover the cost of studying abroad.

Award Details

• Value: EC $25,000 (one-off payment)
• Number of Recipients: One (1)
• Sports Categories:
  • Football
  • Track and Field
  • Swimming
• Use of Funds: Tuition, accommodation, books, travel, and other related expenses.
• Funds will be paid in the recipient’s name.

Selection Criteria

The recipient will be selected based on:

• Academic performance
• Financial need
• Quality of a 500-word essay
• Coach’s recommendation

Final approval will be determined by the ECAB Selection Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of August.

Scholarship Conditions

• Must be a legal resident of Antigua & Barbuda.
• The recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 (B average).
• The student must complete the academic year for which the grant is awarded.
• Must be entering their first year of study abroad.
• Must be between 14 and 21 years old.
• If academic requirements are not met, repayment may be required.
• A guarantor (legal resident of Antigua & Barbuda with stable employment) must sign an agreement upon award.
• Applicants must disclose all additional funding sources.

Applicants must submit:

• Completed Application Form
• Copy of Government-issued ID
• Proof of residency if not an Antiguan and Barbudan citizen
• Official Scholarship Offer Letter
• 500-word Essay: Why I Should Be Selected for the ECAB Game Changers Scholarship
• Certified Academic Transcripts
• Coach’s Recommendation Letter

The guarantor must provide:

• Government-issued ID
• Proof of employment
• Proof of address
